Georgette

Georgette is a member of Ginoogaming First Nation, which is one of the Matawa Communities. Georgette has a Native Counsellor Training Certificate as well as her Honors Bachelor of Social Work Carleton University. Georgette has been with Matawa Education as the Post-Secondary Coordinator for the past twenty-five years. In this role, she has been responsible for the administration of funding, and support services for five of Matawa’s participating First Nation Communities Georgette truly enjoys working with students, education staff and partners. She works closely with the Post-Secondary Student Support Worker to ensure that students are prepared and receiving the support needed to attend post-Secondary. Georgette enjoys spending time outdoors with family and grandchildren.
